## Description
BASIC FUNCTION
Under the direct supervision of the PSL Manager or the District Manager, provides field supervision for operational and administrative activities within an area. Provides leadership to ensure the safe and effective utilization of assigned personnel, equipment and supplies in fulfilling contracted tasks, through truck and rig supervisors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Provides direct supervision to supervisors and field personnel in daily operational activities; maintains regular on-site contact to assure services being performed are within Company guidelines and in accordance with consumer specifications and requirements.
2. Reviews daily reports and time tickets to determine hours worked, mechanical problems, etc. to effectively plan and schedule daily operational activities.
3. Ensures routine and preventative maintenance and repairs to keep all equipment in optimum operating condition, this minimizing down time, which requires driving a company vehicle to work site, climbing, accessing worksites and equipment; and working in outdoor elements and environment, more than 50% of the time.
4. Develops and maintains favorable working relationships, conditions and contacts with customers to assure job completion to the mutual satisfaction of the Company and the customer. This requires phone calls and visits to customer's office or work site.
5. Resolves customer complaints and unpredicted job complications.
6. Responsible for the effective staffing of field operating personnel; interviews applicants and selects qualified employees; initiates and recommends employee actions (promotions, transfers, terminations, etc.) based on documentation of performance.
7. Demonstrates positive people management skills:

Coaches subordinates well
Takes an interest in subordinates' careers
8. Assures the on-site implementation of the Company's safety and accident prevention program.
9. Instructs and reinforces use of safe operating procedures by field operations personnel.
10. Makes continuing on-site observations to pinpoint potential hazards and initiates corrections as necessary.
11. Provides around the clock (24/7) response and on-site supervision of critical operational processes. This may require extended work hours, travel by boat, air, or motor vehicle, and the need to utilize Personal Protective Equipment, including Self-contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and/or protective Hazmat clothing and/or equipment.
12. Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate supervisor.
13. Performs the primary thinking called for and encompassed by the overall Position Definition.
14. Adheres to Company policies and work requirements.
15. Conducts an annual review of the Position Definition and updates as required.
## Qualification
REQUIREMENTS
Pass the company's drug screen.
Motor vehicle record qualifies individual to be an approved company driver.
Acceptable criminal history.
Ability to read, write and speak English to the extent that they are able to understand verbal and written instructions as well as give verbal and written instructions in English; and the ability to use simple mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication) to make job related calculations.
An understanding of basic management concepts and principles including: delegation, motivation, goal setting, performance evaluation, and discipline.
A thorough knowledge of the purpose, capability and limitations of the equipment assigned to the line(s)-of-business); of all federal, state and local laws concerning the operation and the scope of the line(s)-of-business).
A working knowledge of other equipment, materials and terminologies associated with the line(s)-of-business.
Experience and Educational Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of six years of related line(s)-of-business experience.
