Job Summary
At Waste Management Energy Services, a Roustabout must have the ability to work well with their hands. They will be constantly handling and moving tools and other equipment and they may have to assemble pipes and fittings. A Roustabout must be able to perform actions such as climbing ladders, erecting scaffolding, building and repairing structures, digging holes, and mixing mortar. This position requires excellent communication skills, cooperation, and teamwork. Some of the Roustabout duties include the ability to install and repair equipment, dig ditches, cut down trees, build derricks, set well equipment, tie down pump units, haul and install pipes, haul gravel, operate tools, and perform yard maintenance, and general cleanup duties. They may also work with a variety of equipment such as tractors, trucks, and trailers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned and may vary by location.
Performs all duties in accordance with Waste Management Safety and Life Critical Rules and OSHA. (Occupational and Safety Health Act) requirements.
Performs general manual labor tasks including, but not limited to,
Lifting and moving materials greater than 50lbs
Build, repair, and/or fabricate facilities including but not limited to, oil well locations batteries, water disposal sites under the supervision of customer representatives.
Conducts other duties and tasks as assigned
The use of hand tools
Ability to work 10 hours or more when needed
Willing to work weekends when required
And other activities in a helping or assisting mode.

This job has no supervisory duties.
Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
Required: At least six month of related experience.
Preferred: One year related experience.
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
Valid Driver's License
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
Must be eligible to be legally employed in the US
Successfully complete pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history and motor vehicle record review.
