Development and Production North America (DPNA) aims to develop a material and profitable position in North America, including deepwater Gulf of Mexico, unconventional gas and oil sands. In doing this, we will establish capability centres for deepwater and unconventional gas operations as well as carbon efficient oil sands extraction. This will ensure our further development in the area.
#### Job description
Responsible for monitoring the production of the Williston Basin wells and making recommendations to improve efficiencies and production
Experience with various artificial lift methods is a plus
This is a great opportunity to gain valuable management experience
Set clear HSE performance expectations and ensure that Statoil HSE policies and procedures are understood and followed within area of responsibility
Plan and follow up new wells in cross-disciplinary teams
Ensure daily communication with office and field personnel
Analyze and model well performance
Plan and follow up well interventions
Follow up flow assurance issues
Prevention of down-hole corrosion, artificial lift optimization and automation utilization
Plan and follow up fluid sampling, inhibition and treatments
Contribute in field development projects
Be proactive with continuous learning especially in emerging technologies
Evaluate unconventional hydrocarbon systems
Promote a positive and constructive workplace
Self-starter who can work independently but also well in teams
Interact with other team members in a respectful manner to achieve set goals
#### Qualifications
Minimum requirement of BS Degree in Petroleum Engineering or Related Degree
Minimum three years of relevant experience
In-depth understanding within your own discipline as well as general knowledge of the different phases in the value chain
Perform design, planning and implementation for a variety of Artificial Lift methods
Compression and Facilities design a plus
Fluent in English, both written and oral
Excellent presentation skills
Ability to be hands-on and create business opportunities
Ability to work in multicultural environments
